石家庄雅思大作文参考范文

Space travel has been possible for some time and some people think space tourism could help the country develop in the future. To what extent do you think space tourism is a positive or negative development?

Sample:

How to maintain a healthy and sustainable development is not only the paramount concern of governors of a nation, but also the general public’s common expectation. It is newly proposed that investing heavily in space tourism could be a major contributor to national development. Personally, I believe that such a hypothesis seems to be somewhat overestimated and overoptimistic.

The proposal might form on the basis that an accelerated economic growth can be achieved by attracting a number of wealthy people who are willing to pay a high price for the unique experience and startling sightseeing around the orbit. Considering the technology and resources involved in the trip, only billionaires or millionaire could afford such expensive tours. But overall, the profit generated from this service can only benefit a tiny proportion of institutions who own the technology and money to build space capsules. So it is less likely to improve the well-being of the community as a whole.

Furthermore, carrying out any project like this would waste the valuable fund and resources, which can be made a more efficient use to solve a series of pressing problems. It is the insufficiency of energy that places a formidable barrier for development of most countries of world, regardless developed, developing or underdeveloped countries. Therefore, the massive consumption of fuels for personal pleasure may enormously hinder a country to move forward in the long term, since it would exhaust national potential in the time. By contrast, if the authority can guide the fund to finance education and to refuel welfare system, the community is more likely to see its prosperity when the educated members collectively make effort for their motherland’s growth.

In conclusion, we have to clearly realize that the inefficiency in fun and energy use would bring more harm than benefit to a country’s development, though space tourism appears to be promising for a huge profit.
